Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi inaugurated a three storied gigantic Mandit in the city of Ayodhya. Sri Rama arrived after an absence of 500 years in the city.  Clapping and chanting “Jai Sri Ram” thousands of devotes from across the globe descended on Ayodhya to witness this historical event. Many Hindus feel that they are so fortunate to witness the Prana Pratishta of Sri Rama, to attend the function and even to live currently.
Narendra Modi led the opening ceremony as Hindu priests chanted Vedic Mantras inside the temple’s inner sanctum, where a 1.3-meter (4.3-foot) stone sculpture of Lord Ram was installed. A conch was blown by a priest to mark the temple’s opening and Modi placed a lotus flower in front of Bala Rama’s black image crafted for the occasion.  Sri Rama’s image was decked in intricate gold ornaments, glittering garments, and holding a golden bow and arrow. He later prostrated before the idol. Sri Mohan Bhagwat and Sri Yogi Adityanath were in the sanctum sanctorum along with priests and a very few committee members.
It took nearly 500 years to rebuild Sri Rama Mandir. It was demolished in 1528 and built Babri Masjid on to the same site using much of the material from the demolished Madir. It is hard to imagine finding such hatred toward other religion and demolish religious places to destroy an entire civilization. No other country would have allowed such an insult. It is time to find the real mindset of so many politicians and how they have negated the history of Bharat.
Hindus must wake up and see the potential danger and work toward protecting Hindu Mandirs and Sanatana Dharma. Humanity will be at peril if Sanatan Dharma ideals are not practiced, advocated, and protected.
Following the inauguration of the Mandir, Modiji said “Today our Lord Ram has come. After centuries of waiting, our Ram has arrived. After centuries of unprecedented patience, countless sacrifices, renunciations, and penances, our Lord Ram has arrived.”  Modi said to a 7,000-strong crowd that included movie stars, top cricket players and tycoons, from the newly constructed temple bedecked with colorful flowers.
“Ram is not a dispute, Ram is the solution,” he added.
“From today, from this sacred time, we have to lay the foundation for the next 1,000 years. By moving ahead of building the temple, now we all take the oath of building a national, capable, successful, beautiful, and divine India,” Modi said.
“Jan. 22, 2024, is not merely a date but marks the dawn of a new era,” …. "Today's date will go down in history," Mr. Modi said after the event. "After years of struggle and countless sacrifices, Lord Ram has arrived [home]. I want to congratulate every citizen of the country on this historic occasion."
The statement that “Our Lord Ram has arrived after centuries of wait,” received a resounding applause from thousands of attendees. He said the temple was built after “countless sacrifices” and is testament to a rising India “breaking the shackles of slave mentality.”
In preparation for the inauguration of Ayodhya Mandir, Modiji underwent a11-day purification ritual – slept on the floor and fasted. Only coconut water was taken during this period.
Modi said in a recent speech that the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would mark the beginning of a cultural revival of India.
"The entire world is eagerly awaiting the historical moment about to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. We are truly lucky to get a chance to witness a momentous event like this in our lifetime," Modi said.
Rabindra Narain Singh, president of India’s largest Hindu organization, Vishva Hindu Parishad, said that with the establishment of the Ram temple, Ayodhya would be the holiest site for Hindus in the world.
"Ram’s birthplace will be developed for the Hindus the way the Vatican City and Mecca were done for Christians and Muslims," Singh said.
