Why Celebrate Independence Day?
Teachers talked about the struggle for Independence from Brirish.  The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the Country on the 15th of August every year, holds tremendous ground in the list of national days, since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. It was on 15th August 1947 that India was declared independent from British colonialism, and the reins of control were handed over to the leaders of the Country. India's gaining of independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome one, witnessing the sacrifices of many freedom fighters, who laid down their lives on the line.

The Indian Independence Bill was introduced in the British House of Commons on July 4, 1947 and subsequently Independence Day came to celebrated on August 15, since 1947.
Significance
Traditionally, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag on Independence Day and addresses the nation. The speech reflects the nation’s progress, achievements, and future goals. This year's speech will mark the 11th consecutive Independence Day speech by PM Modi and the first during his third term.
She is also depicted with a halo behind her head, and four hands, which attributed a divine look to the Bharat Mata. She was holding a sacred manuscript, an akshamala, or a rosary of beads, a vastra or a piece of fabric, and a bunch of rice foliage in each of her hands. Her calm demeanor was an embodiment of grace.
