On November 16, I accompanied Sri Devanjan Bose, one of the great souls to see the living conditions of Pakistani Hindu refugees living in Adarsha Puri area where about 3000 Hindus are living. It is very difficult to see their living conditions. Some of them came about 15 years ago while others slowly came over the years. They came in different. Some of them came this year. Conditions of Living quarters look very different. In Delhi, there are seven such camps located at different locations.

While exact, real-time figures are difficult to obtain, it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of Pakistani Hindus currently reside in India, many as long-term refugees awaiting or having recently received citizenship.
Devanjan Bose, President, International Satvik and Sanatan Foundation (ISSF) has prepared a very thorough and practical proposal to restore their lives  and regain their pride. The mission of ISSF is to work toward getting citizenship to these refugees, build a school for the children, build houses, provide health care facilities, and basic amenities.

ISSF is planning a thorough study to find out the demographic information to plan for future activities. Devanjan is planning to approach Federal government and Delhi government to find out what kind of opportunities are available for these refugees and apply to provide basic amenities.

NEED HELP
One has to see the conditions they are living in. Nobody can really grasp their situation unless one can visit these Refugee camps. Whatever help you can provide, they would appreciate it immensely.

It is estimated that as many as 600,000 Pakistani Hindus are residing in India. Pakistani Hindu refugees are largely settled in states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana. There are about 400 Pakistani Hindu refugee settlements across various cities in these regions.

•    Challenges: Refugees often face difficulties in obtaining essential services, such as proper housing, education for children, and job opportunities, due to a lack of formal identity documents.
