[GHHF] The 'Collective Padapuja' That Stirred Emotions: Bal Samskar Kendras Cultivating Values in Children
We usually see collective pujas at temples or sacred places. However, the 'Collective Padapuja' program conducted by the Bal Samskar Kendras under the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is truly an innovative and distinctive idea. The special feature of this program is that children perform puja to their parents. We undertook this program with the goal of teaching the values of Sanatana Dharma to today's generation, who are moving away from Indian culture and traditions in this modern life.
This program is not just a puja; it is an effort to foster feelings of respect, gratitude, and devotion towards parents in children. Furthermore, its purpose is to convey how important parents' blessings are for achieving a high status in life.
Recently, we conducted this special Collective Padapuja program at the Bal Samskar Kendra in Vitlampalli village, Kalyanadurgam Mandal, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation arranged all the necessary puja materials for this program. About 25 children participated in this sacred event with their parents. First, we performed Saraswati Devi puja and had the children sing a prayer song. After that, the children cleaned their parents' feet, decorated them with turmeric, sandalwood paste, and kumkum, worshiped them with flowers, and took their blessings.
Many parents who witnessed this wonderful scene became emotional. Some shared their experiences and expressed their happiness about the positive changes that have come about in their children after sending them to the Bal Samskar Kendras. They also thanked the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation for running such great programs. The parents also blessed their children wholeheartedly, wishing them to gain good knowledge and wisdom. At the end of the program, we distributed Tirtha Prasadam to everyone.
Through its Bal Samskar Kendras, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is providing free education to children, along with teaching them the culture and traditions of Hindu Dharma, yoga, and meditation. Currently, more than 170 Bal Samskar Kendras are running in various states. We have a goal to start more centers if we receive more support from you.
