[GHHF] Preserving the tradition of doing Pada Puja to the Parents by Bala Samskar Students in Anakapalli District
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is committed to pursuing and reviving our traditional customs by implementing them in the classrooms. Our scriptures repeatedly remind us of the importance of Parents. The adages “Matru Devo Bhava” and “Pitru Devo Bhava” are constantly in our minds. The importance given to the parents is unparalleled in human history.
With that belief, Pada Puja for parents was organized by the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, where children washed their parents' feet, applied Tilak and turmeric powder, and performed Natavaram in Anakapalli District.
About 50 children, 30 parents, and 10 chief guests participated in the Pada Puja. The program began with Omkar and the children's chants of auspicious slokas. After which, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation was introduced, and its programs were explained. They mentioned that GHHF operates about 175 Bala Samskar Kendras across nine states in India, building or renovating Temples in villages to meet villagers' religious needs.
Later, songs were sung with the children, Bhagavad Gita verses were recited, and freedom fighters were told about them. Later, the chief guest, Natavaram ZPHI School Telugu Pandit Shri Gopi Master, said that I do Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, reading and exercising every day, but today, when I see the children reciting Bhagavad Gita, singing patriotic songs, and narrating the stories of great people who sacrificed their lives for the country here at the Bala Sanskar Kendra, I feel that the Almighty has given me a wonderful opportunity today. I express my heartfelt gratitude to GHHF for preparing these children in this way. Today, it is a great joy to prepare children for the future and to instill in them culture, tradition, and Samskar. It is said that every parent should make use of this and send their children to the Bala Sanskar Kendra without fail.
Parents, what changes have they noticed in their children? Their parents say that, as parents, they are being reminded of their responsibility through the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation. They expressed their gratefulness to GHHF. They said they work hard for our profession. But we are not home to find out what our children are doing.
Now, as soon as our children wake up in the morning, they touch their parents' feet with their palms and bow to them. Many parents expressed their happiness with their children's manners and appreciated their children's manners. They also said they were happy to hear that their children chant the Bhagavad Gita, since many of them do not have a copy at home.
Many parents expressed their joy and happiness, saying they would like to express their special gratitude to the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation for providing such a program, education, and culture for our children and us. The Pada Puja program conducted with the children of the Bala Sanskar Kendra today was colorful and grand.
