GHHF - Ground breaking Ceremony to built 35,000square feet Temple by JSS Spiritual Mission in Gaithersburg M D
His Holiness Sri Sivaratri Desikendra Mahaswami - also Known as Suttur Mutt - revealed a plan to build a huge Temple in Gaithersburg MD with Sri Chamundeswari as the Main Murthi along with Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva and other deities. The ground breaking ceremony was conducted on August 28, 2022.
Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, peettadhipati of Avadhuta DAtta PEETHAM, was invited as a Special guest to do the Bhoomi Puja. He was received with Poornakumbha at the entrance of the Ashram and both the Pettadhipatis walked to the site where homas were conducted to purify the land. They offered Poornahuti and then did the ground breaking for a new Temple.
Then they proceeded to a big hall where key note soeakiners and political leaders and county officials spoke about the need for such Temple to spread the spiritual message of Sanatana Dharma.
Prakasarao Velagapudi introduced Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji by talking about activities in USA for the last 45 years - highlighting the Sahasragala Gita Chanting. Sri Dwamiji spoke about the need of these Temples to quench the thirst of the people.
Sri Sivaratri Desikar Mahaswami talked about the ned for spreading India’s rich spiritual values in the USA. He emphasized the need to impart the knowledge to the children to ensure the continuity of Sanatana Dharma. He talked about the bond between Him and Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and appreciated his presence.
