James Madison (American Statesman, 1751-1836, Co-Author Declaration of Independence)

"During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry, and persecution."

"In no instance have ... the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people."

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that we have appointed four Pracharaks and Bala Samskar teachers in and around Cachar City in Assam.  Cachar is an administrative district in the state. The district headquarters, Silchar, is one of the most important business centers of Assam. In 2006, the Indian government named Cachar one of the country's 250 most backward districts out of a total of 640.

Sri Samrat Dutt from Cachar has been following activities – Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar. He has been talking about starting both the programs around Cachar and was willing to do whatever it takes to start these two programs in and around the city. He even identified four Pracharaks – two males and two females. He also identified one Bala Samskar teacher. GHHF would like to express our appreciation to Samratji for his passion and determination to coordinate and supervise these activities.

His concern for the aggressiveness of Christians and Love Jihad by Muslims helped GHHF to organize these activities. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and leadership qualities in organizing many of these activities.

Update on the Activities

·        Four Pracharaks and Five Teachers for Bala Samskar are appointed and have been working.
·        Door-to-door distribution of booklet on Love Jihad to all the families asking them to be aware of the potential danger of their daughters being targeted.

The booklet contains five points

4. Legal status of women in Hinduism and Islam

·        1st Success Story of GHHF in Assam. Joseph left Christianity and embraced Hinduism by our efforts. He was suffering from various ailments and at last, passed away. Christians came to take away his body and wanted to bury it as per their rituals. GHHF Pracharak stood like a rock in front of the missionaries and with the help of villagers performed the last rites as per Hindu rituals, customs. A Sraddha ceremony was also done.
·        Manupuri Hindu girl kidnapped by MD. Jinamul. GHHF extended legal support to the victim's family and met police officials.
·        Visited both Hindu and Christian families in several families and talked about the deceptive tactics if Christians to convert Hindus. They distributed Hanuman Chalisa along with a leaflet regarding the difference between Hindu Dharma and Christian Religion and tied the Raksha sutra to the willing members.
·        Hindus of the village Nagar Patbari  once planned to construct a Shiva Temple but due to pressure of Christian Missionaries, the construction work of the temple could not be completed. Evangelists threatened with dare consequences if someone tries to rebuild the temple. After getting the information GHHF Pracharak went to the village, organized meetings with local people's and unanimously decided to rebuild and renovate this Temple. It has also been decided by the people of the village to bring back all those families who left the Hindu dharma and converted to Christianity.  GHHF offered some help in the completion of the Temple.
·        On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti today GHHF Silchar team took out kirtan, visited many houses.
·        Welcomed 7 Christians back to Hinduism. This is a great achievement to welcome them in such a short time by our Pracharak.
·        Samrat played a key role in forming a Legal Council consisting of five lawyers and one advisor to handle the legal cases.
·        A vigilante group was formed in Doyapur Village to counter the evangelical aggressive
·        An average of 18 students attended the Bala Samskar Kendras.

OUR Pracharaks  are going to villages every day with a two-fold purpose:

1)      To make Hindu families aware of the deception, kidnapping, seduction, false promises, forces conversions by Muslims to entice Hindu girls, get married, and convert the married Hindu girls to Islam against their will.

2)      To make Hindu families aware of Christian deceptive tactics to convert Hindus to Christianity.

Some of the material was prepared in Bengali and started distributing to Hindu families.

As we all know about Love Jihad. Extensive reports of Love Jihad are documented in Assam. Hindu Population is about 58 %, Muslim Population about 38 %, and Christian Population is about 4 %.

Love Jihad Law in Assam

Realizing the gravity of Love Jihad in Assam, Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma proposed legislation, under which the bride and groom will have to disclose their religion and income in official documents a month before the wedding, aims at curbing the menace of ‘love jihad’ and will encompass all communities. “Love jihad doesn’t only mean a Muslim cheating a Hindu. It could happen among Hindus as well. If a Hindu boy uses dubious means to entrap and marry a Hindu girl that is also a form of ‘love jihad’,” Sarma told reporters.

“We don't want to use the term 'Love Jihad' since we feel even a Hindu should not cheat a Hindu. It is not like, when a Muslim cheats a Hindu, it is 'Love Jihad'. According to me, it is also a 'Jihad' when a Hindu man marries a Hindu woman by cheating and misleading her," he said in Assamese, adding, "Therefore, I don't believe in words like Jihad, etc. We want to bring a law to stop cheating to get married."

"We will bring a law, but it would not be like it will be against only Muslims. Our law will be equal in the case of Hindus and Muslims," the Chief Minister said. Assam's law is not against 'love jihad'. It would be inclusive of all religions and would empower our sisters by bringing transparency...One will have to disclose not only religion but earning sources. Complete family details, education, etc. Many times even in same religion marriages we have found that the girl later finds that the husband is in an illegal business," said Mr. Sarma.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed twenty people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.

1) Donate any amount to help the Dharma Pracharaks to work at the ground level.

2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks
