[GHHF] Puri Rath Yatra GHHF Annadanam: A New Chapter in Odisha with Spiritual Service!

01 Jul 2025 11 Views

The sacred Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra festival has immersed Hindus worldwide in devotion. Lakhs of devotees flocked to Puri to pull the chariots of Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra Mata. In such a magnificent spiritual context, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) showcased its commitment to Dharmic service by successfully organizing an Annadanam (food donation) program for the devotees participating in the Rath Yatra.

Significance of Rath Yatra and the Greatness of Annadanam:
Jagannath Rath Yatra is not just a festival; it is a ten-day divine journey where Lord Jagannath, the Supreme Being Himself, comes out into the streets to give darshan to His devotees. Hindu Dharma teaches that participating in this Yatra grants moksha (liberation). In such a holy journey, feeding hungry devotees is extolled by Puranas as the most distinguished service. True to the saying "Annadata Sukhibhava" (May the giver of food be blessed with happiness), GHHF believes that divinity resides directly in the server when food is donated. Hence, GHHF activists participated with dedication in satisfying the hunger of thousands of devotees.

Sri Thunuguntla Rajesh's Efforts in Expanding GHHF Activities in Odisha:
In fact, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation did not have any activities in Odisha state previously. However, in this direction, Sri Thunuguntla Rajesh, the National General Secretary of GHHF Bharat, recently toured Odisha for 7 days. During this tour, he conducted extensive meetings in many areas, encouraged local activists, and laid the foundation for initiating Dharmic activities through our organization in Odisha. This Annadanam program at Puri Rath Yatra is an auspicious beginning for GHHF's future activities in Odisha and a tribute to his efforts.

Heartfelt congratulations to all GHHF activists who participated in this divine Annadanam program. We will soon inform you about the full details of GHHF's expansion activities in Odisha, as well as Sri Rajesh's tour, through videos. Please keep watching our channel!
