[GHHF] Next Generation Leaders gathered in Frisco TX to shoulder the responsibility of serving the mission of our organization.Â
"In the great books of India, an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence, which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the questions that exercise us." Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Author
The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is excited to meet approximately 20 youth leaders who have expressed interest in serving Sanatana Dharma and Bharata Mata. About a month ago, the BSR party of Telangana State celebrated 50 years of movement in Dallas, Texas. At that time, many political leaders came and visited the Hanuman Temple. At that time, many of them visited our house, accompanied by local youth leaders. They come to what GHHF is doing at the ground level and how we are protecting the villages from being converted. The local youth expressed interest in joining our movement and assisting with social media and spreading the word about our activities to the youth.
One of our active leaders, Puneeth Pantha, took the responsibility of coordinating this meeting on June 28 at our house. Prakasarao Velagapudi, assisted by Prashant Nanganuri and Chandrakant Reddy, welcomed the youth leaders and traced the history of GHHF over the last 19 years.
GHHF was started in 2006 in the USA with a mission to free Hindu Temples from government control in India to be managed by Hindus only. Prakasarao said he retired from teaching after 36 years of service in 2006 and went to India, thinking of traveling and visiting pilgrimage places. As the adage goes, 'man proposes, God disposes.' On August 23rd at 7:23 am, he was reading Eenadu Telugu newspaper and was shocked to read that the Andhra Pradesh government issued Government Order 21 allowing the government to allocate crores of rupees for the construction of new churches and renovation of old churches. Socked by the news, he went to the High Court and got a Stay Order. Then he returned to the USA and, along with highly committed Hindu activists, founded the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation.
The mission of GHHF is to protect, preserve, promote, and maintain Hindu culture, Hindu temples, mutts, peethams, endowments, Trusts, and other institutions globally. To achieve this objective, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) was established to take the necessary and appropriate non-violent actions against all laws, policies, and activities undertaken by any government, individuals, and/or organizations that adversely affect the Hindu religion, Hindu Temples, and other Hindu institutions. One of the main goals is to take necessary legal steps to abolish the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Acts across India and ensure all the Hindu Temples and other Hindu institutions become independent of state government control. Just as other religions and their facilities are independent of government control, the Hindu religion and its facilities should be independent. GHHF will remain cognizant of the status of Hindu culture and Hindu Temples globally and take necessary action to eliminate discriminatory practices.
He mentioned some of the achievements over the last 19 years and shared the document with details. He mentioned a few activities GHHF is conducting in nine different States in Bharat and Bangladesh. They are: Ghar Waapasi, Bala Samskar Kendras, Grama Devata renovation and revival, Annadanam, Sponsor a Priest, Dhupa Deepa Naivedyam, Intinta Shiva Abhishekam, Cow puja and protection, Animal welfare, Flood relief, Environmental protection, Imprinting Jai Sri Ram and Chalivendras (Water pendals).
We showed a 20-minute YouTube video produced by Mana TV explaining the activities being conducted in the Anantapur District. Many of them expressed their desire to participate in our movement. We thanked them for their willingness to participate in the endeavor.
