As we reported on December 30th that Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and other organizations went to Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna temple at Srisailam to highlight the presence of non-Hindus in the administration and owning the shops selling the pooja items and other items needed to offer to the presiding deities of the Temple. Overwhelming vendors were Muslims. The administration is knowingly, intentionally, and purposefully allotting the shops to Muslims. GHHF Associate Lakshmi Nivas coordinated the meeting to discuss the strategy to meet with the Executive Officers to demand the cancellation of tenders given to either Muslims or any Hindu who subleased the shops to Muslims and Christians. Although the state government announced that non-Hindus should not be employed, still there are many non-Hindus working at Sri Sailam Temple. They demanded the EO to take immediate action against the Muslim vendors and non-Hindu employees.
GHHF Hindu Organizations meet EO of Sri Sailam Temple to highlight the Presence of Muslim and Christian contractors and Employees. Representatives from the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, Nitya Satyam, Rashtriya Dalit Sena, Dharma Dhwajam, Bhajarangdal, Gauraksha, and other organizations met on December 26 prepared a list of concerns and met with the EO Sri Karanam Rama Rao. They said they will come back and appraise the progress they promised to make.
On January 3, 2021 about ten people went to Sri Sailam Temple to talk to the EO. They could not because of his absence due to death in his family.
But we are happy to report that 13 shops were seized by the Police and put a locker until the further investigation to find out about the vendors and their religion. They are in constant contact with the Temple to make sure they will take necessary steps to remove all the Muslim and Christian vendors and also make sure no non-Hindu missionary activities will take place within a certain distance.
