[GHHF] Laying the Foundation for Hindu Resurgence in Assam: Hindu Yuva Manch's Grassroots Training Camp
Guwahati, Assam: Under the aegis of the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), an organization dedicated to the preservation of Sanatana Dharma and the revival of Indian culture and heritage, its youth wing, Hindu Yuva Manch (HYM), is actively engaged in various programs across Assam. As part of this significant endeavor, a crucial one-day training camp for village-level coordinators was successfully organized in Guwahati on June 22, 2025. This camp marks a strong step towards fostering awareness and collective strength within the Hindu community across Assam.
Building Leadership: Action from the Village Level
The training camp saw the enthusiastic participation of 83 dedicated village coordinators from 22 different villages across Assam. While each village typically has 10-12 HYM members, for this camp, 3-4 of the most important and responsible workers were specially selected from each village. These chosen leaders will guide their respective HYM teams in their villages, playing a pivotal role in effectively implementing grassroots programs. The entire event was overseen by Mr. Samrat, President of GHHF Assam.
Comprehensive Training: Brainstorming on Practical Aspects
The training camp, which lasted for about four hours, was not limited to mere lectures but served as a platform for extensive brainstorming on practical aspects. Through these discussions and workshops, activists were equipped with the skills to address challenges faced at the grassroots level and strategies to overcome them. The key topics discussed included:
1. HYM Expansion into New Areas: Detailed guidelines were provided on how to establish Hindu Yuva Manch units and form committees in new villages. This is a fundamental aspect of organizational strengthening.
2. Effective Communication with Cadres: The importance of personal connections and continuous communication with every activist was emphasized, as the strength of the organization lies in its workers. This boosts team spirit and commitment.
3. Conducting Monthly Meetings: Training was provided on the mandatory conduct of at least one meeting per month in every village to review progress and formulate future plans for systematic action.
4. Organizing Hindu Jagran Sabhas: Guidance was given on how to successfully organize Hindu Jagran Sabhas (awakening assemblies) in villages to raise awareness about Hindu religious and cultural values and promote unity among the people.
5. Protests and Legal Actions: Legal awareness was imparted on how to organize protests effectively when necessary to address social injustices and illegal activities, and how to draft First Information Reports (FIRs) efficiently.
6. Utilizing Media and Social Media: Training was provided on how to effectively use media, publicity, and modern social media platforms to disseminate information about the positive work being done by GHHF and HYM to a wider audience.
7. Awareness and Action against Love Jihad: Clear directives and action plans were explained on how to conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns on social issues like "Love Jihad," support victims, remain vigilant against missionary conversion activities, and counter them effectively.
8. Other Important Matters: In addition to the main topics mentioned above, various challenges encountered at the grassroots level and ways to effectively overcome them were discussed.
Future Vision: A Strengthened Hindu Society
This comprehensive training camp provided the Hindu Yuva Manch village coordinators not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills and confidence. After the camp, lunch was arranged for the activists, after which they departed for their respective villages.
Through this training, GHHF and Hindu Yuva Manch are laying a strong foundation for the preservation of Hindu Dharma and cultural revival programs in the state of Assam. It is hoped that these trained activists will serve as the backbone in their villages, fostering unity and awareness within the Hindu community, and playing a crucial role in taking the GHHF's objectives to the people. This will undoubtedly mark the beginning of a new chapter for Hindu religious and social service in Assam.
