[GHHF] Divine Devotion at Akkamma Jatara: GHHF’s Waves of Selfless Service

The Akkamma Devi Jatara in Kalyanadurgam town, Anantapur district, is not just a festival; it is a profound expression of faith for thousands of devotees. It is a magnificent sight to behold as villagers trek for miles under the scorching sun, carrying Panakam offerings to fulfill their vows to the Goddess. In this sea of devotion, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) extended its hand of service to quench the thirst of the weary pilgrims.

Cooling the Soul Amidst the Summer Heat
With summer at its peak, our dedicated Pracharaks—Arjun, Anil Kumar, Gopi Krishna and Hanumanthu—spearheaded a ‘Seva Yagna’ to ensure no devotee suffered from dehydration. We distributed nearly 5,000 liters of cool buttermilk and 2,000 liters of drinking water.

Setting a benchmark for environmental responsibility, our team shunned disposable plastic and used 100 stainless steel glasses, cleaning them continuously to serve the buttermilk. The heartfelt gratitude of the devotees, who remarked, "We thank your organization for supporting us every year," was the greatest reward for our service.

United in Dharma: The Strength of Local Support
Inspired by GHHF’s consistent service over the last three years, local Hindu brothers stepped forward voluntarily this year. Patacheruvu Krishnappa Garu, Chalapadi Raghu Garu, and Pyramid Raju Garu showcased their devotion by contributing curd and water, personally participating in the distribution and strengthening the bond of Hindu unity.

Honoring the Hands that Serve
In line with our tradition of honoring selfless service, GHHF cordially invited the donors who contributed financially and physically. Special prayers were performed in the names of their families, and they were honored with Vedic blessings and Saffron shawls (Kashaya Vastram). We expressed our deepest gratitude by presenting them with Prasadam and fruits.

At Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, our core mission is to protect Hindu Dharma while actively engaging in social service. On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to organizing such initiatives on an even larger scale, inviting everyone to become a partner in the preservation of our Dharma.
