On November 22, we had the privilege of visiting the historical Adhya Subramanya Swamy temple in Nagala Madugula village in Tumkur District, Karnataka. Rajesh Thunuguntla, karimulla and I reached about 6:00pm. One of our Priest Pracharak and Temple authorities received us at the entrance. Sri Gopi chary of GHHF grew up here learning Vedas. Sri Bhagiratha Sharma of the Temple explained the significance of the Temple. We were honored with shawls. We had opportunity to address the devotees of the Temple.

The history of the Nagalamadike Temple in Pavagadh, Tumkur district, Karnataka, is rooted in a legend involving a devotee named Annabhatta and the discovery of a seven-headed serpent idol on the banks of the River Pinakini. Annabhatta found the idol after a dream instructed him to do so, which is why the place was named Nagalamadaka, meaning "ploughing for snakes". Lord Rama is also said to have stayed at this location. The temple is known as "Anthya Subramanya" and is considered a holy site for devotees of Lord Subramanya.
The origin of the name: The name "Nagalamadike" comes from a legend where a devotee named Annabhatta discovered a seven-headed snake idol on the banks of the River Pinakini.
The discovery: The idol was found after Annabhatta had a dream that instructed him to search for it. He subsequently found it by ploughing a field.
The meaning of the name: "Nagalamadaka" is a combination of two words: 'Nagalu' (snake) and 'Madaka' (plough), and later became Nagalamadike in Kannada.
Connection to Lord Rama: According to legends, Lord Rama is said to have stayed at Nagalamadike along with his brother Lakshmana.
Religious significance: Nagalamadike is one of three significant temples for Lord Subramanya, with the others being Kukke ("Adhi Subramanya") and Ghati ("Madhya Subramanya"). Nagalamadike is known as "Anthya Subramanya.

Around 8:00pm, we proceed to Kalyandurg where we planned a number events. Kai Shri Ram
