[GHHF] Ganesh Festival message: Nurture the roots of Bharat and transmit the grandeur of Sanatana Dharma to our Children.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation President, Dr. Prakasarao Velagapudi, was invited to the Princeton Sanatana Dharma Foundation on Sunday afternoon. The Management, headed by Prasanna and others, has planned the event on a grand scale, with over 600 people expected to attend. The function featured several cultural events and a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of various sports that have been conducted over the last few weeks.
The program began with a Puja to Lord Ganapati. A 5-6 feet tall Ganesh image was airlifted from Mumbai for the occasion. Following the cultural programs, Nimajjanam was done.
He was honored as a Chief Guest. He wished everybody a pleased Ganesh Chaturthi. He discussed the significance of Lord Ganesh, who is worshipped as the remover of obstacles. He provides prosperity, wisdom, and intelligence. As we all know, Sanatana Dharma encompasses a wide range of aspects, including the scientific, spiritual, philosophical, and religious. It provides all the answers we are seeking. Nothing has escaped the keen eyes of our ancient Rishis. As Mark Twain said, there is nothing under the sun that our ancient Rishis have not addressed. With so much knowledge and wisdom, how come we Hindus do not learn, practice, and teach our children, who are our future generation?
Ganesh also represents grafting, a practice that our Sanatana Dharma has followed for many centuries.
He challenged the parents to take full responsibility for their children's education. We all have to take ownership of our Sanatana Dharma. With so much knowledge and excelling in every scientific field imaginable, how come we do not teach the richness of Hinduism to our children?
He asked every parent to spend some time with their children. He told parents never to say “I do not know” to their children. If we say “I do not know” two times to our children whenever they ask a question, then we lose our children forever. Nowadays, there is an abundance of material available on the internet. Please sit with your children, surf the internet, and find answers to their queries.
In a similar vein, we all should take ownership of our Sanatana Dharma and Bharata Mata. We must practice it, propagate it, and preserve it for the welfare of humanity. Our failure may result in chaos and destruction. Imagine Sanatana Dharma as your mother and give her your full attention and protection, whatever you can. You must protect her. We need to nurture the roots of Sanatan Dharma. If we allow the roots of Sanatana Dharma to be pulled out of Bharat because of our indifference, all the branches will wither away. We are aware of what is happening in Bharat. It is being attacked in all directions because of our indifference and apathy. Let us all stand up for Sanatana Dharma and Bharata Mata.
