[GHHF] Dallas Hindus organized a Peaceful Rally to express their outrage at the Hindu genocide in Bangladesh.
A Dallas peace rally was organized on February 1st in front of Frisco City Hall to express our outrage at the Hindu genocide in Bangladesh. This is both an awareness gathering to raise awareness of targeted brutal treatment against Hindus and other minorities, and an appeal to the governments and the United Nations to take appropriate action to stop this cruelty against minorities.
More than 15 people spoke at the event, including two Frisco City council members – Burt Thakur and Jared Elad – ISD school Board member Suresh Mandava, Sashi Kejriwal, Nirmala Reddy, Manish Kapoor, Konda Vaishnava Reddy, Muni Janagarajan, Pradip Saha, Mani Pandey, Prakasarao Velagapudi, and several others.
More than 100 people attended the peaceful rally, braving the cold weather.
Some of our Jewish friends spoke against the Hindu genocide in Bangladesh
Nirmala Reddy read the names of the Hindus killed in Bangladesh, and one minute silence was observed in honor of their lives.
These are the highlights of the speeches delivered in Frisco.
• We are gathered here to express our concern and outrage at what is happening in Bangladesh to Hindus and other minorities. It is not acceptable.
• Decline of Hindus from about 30% to about 7%. What happened to these Hindus? How the Hindu population decreased. The brutality must be stopped.
• Every human being has the right to live peacefully and contribute to the welfare of society.
• Nobody, based on religion, should be humiliated, attacked, or killed.
• Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists have the right to live peacefully. We request that the Bangladesh government take the necessary action to protect the lives of minorities.
• Also, the Indian government, the USA, and the United Nations should make every effort to reach out to the Bangladeshi government to take appropriate action to protect the minorities.
• Silence may even become a weapon to attack the minorities. Hindu indifference, passiveness, and lack of interest may encourage more hostile activities.
• GHHF has been active in helping Hindus for the last five years, organizing Bala Samskar Kendras, providing basic needs, helping to celebrate festivals, protecting Hindu Temples, and houses.
• Two of our Pracharaks were killed in the last three months.
The rally was strictly peaceful, lawful, and non-political, grounded in universal human rights and humanitarian values.
