Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to inform that our Bala Samskar students learned one of the controversial figures in India.  Nathuram Godse stood out as a unique person through his feelings towards society, nation and dharma. The differing opinions towards him have led to debate across the country. Godse is not limited to the assassination of Gandhi, but also some aspects of his personality as a leader and as an individual are also worth knowing.
* Godse was personally very firm in his beliefs. He had a deep belief in his ideals and had the right courage to carry them out.
* Until the end of his life, he lived devoted to his Hindutva doctrines and the preservation of Hindu Dharma.
* Godse was an independent thinker. A person who forms his own opinion on any matter. He did not hold back in implementing his plans. This trait shows a person's self-confidence.
* Godse lived a life of self-sacrifice in working for the nation. He gave more importance to the issues of country, religion and society than his personal interests.
* His opposition to Gandhi's policies was not based on personal reasons, Godse believed that he worked for the good of the nation according to his ideals.
* Godse was careful to preserve Hindu culture and traditions. He worked with determination to protect India and Hindu Dharma.
* Active in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Hindu Mahasabha, took his responsibility towards society seriously.
* Godse's boldness in expressing his beliefs shows his commitment and courage. To some, these may seem wrong, but he is honest about what he does.
* Godse devoted his life to the service of the nation rather than seeking ordinary personal comforts and benefits. He renounced personal pleasures and served the nation as a warrior.
* Godse is also a good speaker. His words and speeches attract people. His words had the power to inspire people in favor of his ideals.
* Nathuram Godse's last words were “I have no personal grudge against Gandhiji. He agreed to the creation of Pakistan and even though they were torturing the Hindus there, Gandhiji was not moved, but he went on a fast to death and made the Hindu refugees from Pakistan homeless. There was no plan to provide protection to Hindus and Hindu temples in Pakistan. He became the father of the nation of Pakistan, but he did not care about our country or the Hindus. If you want to hang me for what I have done, just add my bones to Akhanda Bharatavani.”
The end
Nathuram Godse, personally had many good qualities in his life and demonstrated throughout his life his commitment to country, dharma and cultural values. However, his path, especially the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, remains one of the most controversial events in Indian history.
Justice Khosla, who presided over the case said,  “I have however no doubt that had the audience of that day been constituted into a jury and entrusted with the task of deciding Godse’s appeal, they would have brought in a verdict of ‘not guilty’ by an overwhelming majority”
