[GHHF] 3,000 Adivasis attended the program in Adda Teegala to appreciate our activities related to Ghar Wapasi, Bala Samskar Kendras and Grama Devata renovations.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform that more than 3,000 Adivasis attended the program where we talked about our activities how we are committed to preserving and propagating the rich and traditional culture. GHHF is conducting a number of activities around Rompa Chodavaram in Alluri Sitarama Raju District. On December 7, 2025, this program was arranged to acknowledge the value of the activities GHHF conducting.
GHHF has been organizing a number of activities over the last two years such as Ghar Wapasi, Bala Samskar Kendras, and Grama Devata renovations. We also provided Mike sets to the Temples.
We were warmly received by the Adivasis. It is astonishing to see how dedicated they are to following their traditions. They washed the feet, applied turmeric, kumkum and offered flowers. Offered garlands and held my hand and taken to the stage. We went to the Renuka Ellamma Temple and then on to the stage.
Adivasi culture in Andhra Pradesh is rich, centered on nature worship, ancestral traditions, distinct festivals like unique Sankranti rituals with animal feasts, and deep forest connections, seen in tribes like Chenchus, Bagatas, and Khonds in hilly regions like Araku, featuring specific deities (Mysamma, Peddamma), Podu (shifting cultivation), traditional dress, and strong community governance, though facing modern influences and development challenges.
The organizing Committee consisting of Thota Rama Krishan, Bachchala Subba Reddy, Kadabala Mohan Rao, Chodi Ramababu, Murla Nagamani, Lakshmi, Ganapathi Reddy and others worked tirelessly visiting each village and inviting them to attend the function. Because of the reputation GHHF has created in the village, they came from different villages far and near, many of them were sitting outside tents on the grass.
Rajesh Thunuguntla, GHHF Board Member and National Secretary of GHHF Bharat talked about GHHF and introduced me by saying that I am 87 years old and still very active. Why and how we started GHHF and its mission. Then he asked the audience, “What is Sanatan dharma?” He traced the forest living of Adivasis to the ancient Rishis who lived in the peaceful forest areas where they wrote Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas. He explained the number of projects GHHF is organizing in nine different States in Bharat, Bangladesh and Congo. We conduct these activities depending on the needs of the village,
Prakasarao Velagapudi described the incident that started the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation. Former Chief Minister issues G O 21 allowing the construction of new churches and renovation of old churches with government money. We went to High Court and got Stay Oder. Then we started GHHF.
There are many Dalits Priests working in several Temples. About 15 years ago I went to the villages in Telangana with Sri Kamal Kumar Bharati. There are hundreds of Dalit priests managing the Temples in Telangana. The story behind this narrative is that once a Zamindar in Telangana was going on a horse to see Venkateswara Swamy in Tirupati. At one point in Telangana, the horse stopped and refused to move. Zamindar could not do anything. Suddenly, a Dalit came and said that Lord Venkateswara Temple is within walking. Zamindar had Balaji darshan and announced that Dalits should serve as priests in the temples around that area.
He told the audience to be careful and exercise their vote properly and ask every politician what they can do for their community, The government gives all kind of incentives to Muslims and Christians, Hindus are ignored completely. The government builds Hajj Houses, Christian Houses, send Muslims to Mecca and Christians to Jerusalem.
He mentioned the greatness of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads. About 25 Bobel Prize winners acknowledged their influence in receiving the Nobel prize. Many scientists across the world appreciate the intellectual fervor of Sanatana Dharma.
Dalits have played a significant. Nature worship is part of their culture and should protect it and transfer moral values to their children. GHHF started about 15 Bala Samskar Kendras in this area where we talk about the richness of culture.
The invited guests who spoke on the occasion are: Ramana Rama Dandu, Kambala Srinivasa Rao, Seethamsetty Venkateswarlu, Boggula Katamreddy and Putluru Venkata Krishna.
