Honorable Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh
Velagapudi, Andhra Pradesh

Dear Sri Chandrababu Naidu Garu

Subject: TTD should follow Ayodhya Rama Temple to enforce a strict ban on the sale of Liquor, meat, and non-veg within 15 Kilometers of Tirumala, Tirupati, and Tiruchanur, plus 12 temples mentioned in the Endowment Act 1987.

On June 13, 2024, you visited Lord Venkateswara Temple and vowed to cleanse TTD and protect Hindu Dharma. You stated that “Cleansing in the state will start from Tirumala. In Tirumala, nothing but the chanting of Govinda’s name will be heard. It is not right to desecrate the sacred Tirumala. When you come to Tirumala, you get the feeling of Vaikuntha. There should be no other slogan on Tirumala except Om Namo Venkatesaya. Tirumala has changed for the worse in the last five years.”

Ayodhya Ram Temple banning Liquor, meat, and non-veg.

The administration of the Ayodhya Rama Temple decreed that the sale of alcohol, non-veg, meat, and the like will be completely banned within 15 Km of the Temple. By doing so, you will be fulfilling the commitment you made when you visited Lord Venkateswara Temple in June 2024.

Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chandra Singh stated that all hotels, homestays, and local vendors in the restricted zone have been clearly warned. Any violation, whether physical sale or doorstep delivery, will invite immediate legal action, including the cancellation of licenses. While non-veg food and alcohol were already restricted along key stretches such as the 14-km Ram Path, this new “digital boundary” ensures that online deliveries do not bypass the rules.

It was a necessary action and must be strictly implemented. In a significant step to protect the religious sanctity of the holy city, the Ayodhya administration has enforced a strict ban on the sale and delivery of non-vegetarian food and liquor within a 15-km radius of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The order, effective from January 9, 2026, also brings online food delivery platforms under its purview, following repeated complaints from locals and pilgrims about meat being transported along the sacred Panchkosi Parikrama route.

As Ayodhya continues to grow into a major spiritual center in India, the move is seen as a concerted effort to preserve its sacred atmosphere. The decision has also sparked discussion nationwide, with many wondering whether other prominent pilgrimage towns may soon adopt a similar “pure zone” model.

TTD and the Endowment Act should follow the Ayodhya Rama Temple

The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has written several letters to your Office, the Deputy Chief Minister, and TTD requesting the ban on these items in and around Tirupati.

Also written letters requesting you to declare Tirumala, Tirupati, and Tiruchanur as Punya Kshetram, as envisioned by Sri N T Rama Rao, to preserve the sanctity of these three cities, like Mecca and Vatican.

The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is requesting that the Andhra Pradesh government pass a law to preserve the sanctity of TTD and other Temples in the state, including measures to prohibit the propagation of other religions.

1).Declare Tirumala, Tirupati, and Tiruchanur as Punyakshetra and pass a law like the Ayodhya Rama Temple protecting the sanctity of these three holy cities. This ban should cover all streets within a 15-kilometer radius. All the hotels, homestays, and local vendors in the restricted zone should be clearly warned. Any violation, whether physical sale or doorstep delivery, should invite immediate legal action, including the cancellation of licenses.

As the most sacred place for all Hindus across the globe, please ensure that the three-city corridor is protected from violations and safeguarded in its sanctity.

2).Hindu Temples mentioned in G.O. 747 must be protected. The State government should issue a G.O. to protect the sanctity of the Hindu Temples listed under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987. It is important to safeguard these 12 Temples from actions that compromise their sanctity or restrict the practice of other religions, and to support this with stringent enforcement measures. The following are the names of Hindu Temples in Andhra Pradesh.

· Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam

· Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Devasthanam

· Sri Venkateswara Devasthanam, Dwaraka

· Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam, Vijayawada

· Sri Kalahastheeswara Swamy Devasthanam, Sri Kalahasthi

· Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjunaswamy Devasthanam, Sri Sailam

· Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Devathanam, Kanipakam

· Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Devasthanam, Manglagiri

· Sri Koormaswamy Devasthanam, Srikoormam

· Sri Suryanarayanaswamy Devasthanam, Arasavalli

· Sri Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, Ahobil Mutt

· Sri Mahanandeeswaraswamy Devasthanam, Kuravi.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation requests the Andhra Pradesh government to adopt the model of the Ayodhya Rama Janmabhumi Temple and issue a G.O. banning Liquor, Meat, and non-veg, with strict enforcement laws, and prohibiting the propagation of other religions within 15 kilometers of these sacred places.

Dhanyavad
