Photography Award Function was held on October 4 in Hyderabad. Winners were Recognized and Honored

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) & conducted “Photography Contest on Godavari Pushkaralu 2015.”Pictures taken during the Pushkara time from14th July 2015 to 25th July 2015 were allowed to be submitted for competition and were required to be submitted by August 5, 2015.

Selection of the winners was based on the photographs that reflected the essence of the pushkaras, the Glory of Godavari River, Activities of Devotees at temples and Pushkar Ghats at the bank of Godavari River.


The Prizes for the winners are as follows:
1st                    Prize:              Rs.50,000/-
2nd                   Prize:              Rs.30,000/-
3rd                    Prize:              Rs.25,000/-
5 consolation prizes each Rs.5,000/- with citations

We received more than 1000 pictures from different photographers.

Dr. Ghazal Srinivas and the staff methodically assembled and handed over the pictures the following committee members. They are Sri DS Dixit, Founder,Andhra Pradesh Theater; Sri Sirasri, Cine Poet & Critic; and Sri Thota Venkata Ramana, Cinematographer.

KEY NOTE SPEAKER Sri SwamiParipoornanandaSaraswathi, the pontiff of SriPeetham of Kakinada was the KEY NOTE Speaker.

Following Invited Special Guests were on the stage. All of them spoke on the significance of these photos and their historical value.

Consolation Prizes

1st  consolation prize was awarded to  Sri Kumaraswamy  from Karim Nagar

2nd consolation prize was awarded to Sri V.K.R.S.Sarma from Nedunuru

3rd consolation prize was awarded to Sri S.RAMBABU from Rajahmundry

4th consolation prize was awarded to Sri Nallamilli Subhash from Eluru

5th consolation prize was awarded to Sri Babu Rao from Secunderabad

BOOK is being planned.  The committee will select about three hundred picture on Godavari Pushkaras received from different individuals and newspapers  and will be published to keep it memento for the occasion.
