“The Indians, known to all nations for many centuries, are the metal (essence) of wisdom, the source of fairness and objectivity. They are people of sublime pensiveness, universal apologues, and useful and rare inventions. ... To their credit the Indians have made great strides in the study of numbers and of geometry. They have acquired immense information and reached the zenith in their knowledge of the movements of the stars (astronomy).... After all that they have surpassed all other peoples in their knowledge of medical sciences." Arab scholar Sa'id Ibn Ahmad al-Andalusi (1029-1070)
Amaravati kingdom is governed by a King named Chandraketu. His minister's name was Subuddhi. One day King Chandrasena had a dream in his sleep. In that dream, a wonderful building appeared as if it was floating in the air without touching the ground. Wanting to own such a beautiful building, Chandrasena kept saying 'Oh, how beautiful is the building that came to me in my dream last night'. That's true, my birth is blessed. Such miracles happen only in dreams. How to make such dreams come true, or someone would build a building floating in the air and give them half of the kingdom and put a seal on the end of the kingdom.
After a few days, an old man came to the meeting hall to see the king.
“Father, who are you and where did you come from? “What help do you want from me?” asked the king.
“Maharaja, my name is Shivayya, resident of Subbarayadu Satram. “I have come to marry you to give you justice,” said the old man.
Tell me who wronged you. “I will punish them for being so mean,” said the King.
“Mahāprabho, you have wronged me. “Your servants broke into our house last night and stole all my property.” said the old man.
Are you mad? Are you talking any sense. Did you lose your mind. Do you know who is standing opposite? I provide food to many people, why do I have to rob your property. I am the king of the country?” said the king.
“Yes, Prabhu. You appeared in my dream and stole all the wealth from my house,” said the old man.
“Whatever punishment I can impose on you, I can do it.  I know you are an old man. But your behavior goes beyond measure. Even now, after realizing your mistake, change your behavior and ask for my forgiveness.”  said the King
“Dreams. Will they come true? Based on our dream you build a house in the air without foundation.  Then why not my dream come true.?" said the old man.
The matter made sense and the king got enlightened by saying “Dreams are dreams.”
“I told you the truth, father. “I came to know through you that dreams do not come true,” said Rajugaru.
Minister Subuddhi said, “In order for you to learn about the nature of dreams I am wore this disguise.” Thus, by saying, he removed his disguise.
Everyone in the king's court was amused by the wisdom of the ministers.
