General Joseph Davey Cunningham (1812-1851)

"Mathematical science was so perfect and astronomical observations so complete that the paths of the sun and the moon were accurately measured. The philosophy of the learned few was perhaps for the first time, firmly allied with the theology of the believing many, and Brahmanism laid down as articles of faith the unity of God, the creation of the world, the immortality of the soul, and the responsibility of man.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that we have appointed four Pracharaks and Bala Samskar teachers in and around Cachar City in Assam.  Cachar is an administrative district in the state. The district headquarters, Silchar, is one of the most important business centers of Assam. In 2006, the Indian government named Cachar one of the country's 250 most backward districts out of a total of 640. GHHF activities are being conducted in three districts –Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi.

Sri Samrat Dutt from Cachar has been coordinating and organizing activities in ASSAM– Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar and other activities. He was responsible for identifying four Pracharaks – two males and two females. He also identified 7 teachers for Bala Samskar. He even found three villages where Bala Samskar Kendras are being sponsored by them. GHHF would like to express our appreciation to Samrat Ji for his passion and determination to coordinate and supervise these activities.

His concern for the aggressiveness of Christians and Love Jihad by Muslims helped GHHF to organize these activities. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and leadership qualities in organizing many of these activities.

Still Relief work continues in Hatkhira Village in Rongia District, Assam

Samratji says that  flood water inundated a total of 238 villages in five revenue circles of Kampur— Kaliabor, Raha, Samaguri and Rupahi.  We salute our volunteers who set an example for all the social workers across the globe. GHHF volunteers distributed food, water bottles, 5 KG rice grains and other items in a village inundated with water. Our volunteers walked in the water carrying heavy loads of water bottles and bags of rice.

Due to  devastated flood pracharaks, worker's lost their households, their house was fully drown, still GHHF Assam member's reached more than 32 places and served  20000 people.

This flood destroyed everything means just everything. Water level raised up to 6ft. Most of the rivers showed a receding trend, though Kopili at Nagaon, Barak at Cachar and Karimganj and Kushiara in Karimganj were flowing above the danger level.

In Silchar town, which has been submerged for over a week, efforts are underway to provide relief in those areas where the administration is yet to reach, but GHHF reached , our caders took life risk , distributed food packets, khicdi, drinking Water.

Assam faces devastating floods, wreak havoc for more than 4 lakh people. Rail, road and air connectivity to rest of Bharat severely affected.
