Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) was very happy to organize and conduct Jeernodharana to Sri Ksheera Ramalingeswara Temple in Palakol in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh on October 20 and 21, 2016.The Agama Shastras have ordained the performance of a “punar-uddhaarana
Kumbhabhishekam” of every temple once in twelve years. Realizing the need to revitalize and invigorate the Temple every 12 years as per Agama Shashtras, Dr. Ghazal Srinivas, Brand Ambassador of GHHF and SaveTemples organization, requested the Department of Endowments to grant permission to do Maha Kumbhabhishekam through Palakol MLA, Dr. Nimmala Ramanaidu. Permission to organize this event was granted to Dr. Ghazal Srinivas of GHHF and Savetemples.org.
Sri Swaroopanandendra Swamiji, Peethadhipati of Sharada Peetham of Vishakhapatnam announced that it is everybody’s responsibility to protect Santana Dharma by practicing and spreading the Hinduism across Bharath. Kumbabhishekam was conducted ceremoniously in a splendid manner. The organizers brought water from 12 sacred rivers and the sacred water from the nearby Temples to be used to do Abhishekam to Sree Ramalingeswara Swamy.
Sri Paripoornananda Swamiji. Peethadhipati of Sreepeetham attended the first day of Kumbabhishekam and extolled the virtues of performing the ritual and the significance of the event. He said that the Temples should be center of all village activities the way they used to be in the earlier days.
More than 20 thousand people from nearby villages attended the function and received the blessing of the Presiding Deity an appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ghazal Srinivas of GHHF. Sri Rama Naidu, MLA observed that the Kumbabhishekam will improve the life of the people and stimulate the people to appreciate the religious fervor. More than 30 families contributed and participate in conducting this sacred event.
Many dignitaries who participated in Kumbabhishekam include Dr. Gokaraju Gangaraju MP of Narasapur, Smt. Thota Sitaramalakshmi MP, Sri Angara Ramamohan, AP Whip, Sri Meka Seshu Babu, MLC, Sri G Gandhibhagavaraju, Dr. N Ramanaidu, MLA of Palakol, Sri Madhava Naidu MLA of Narasapur, Sri Bapiraju, Sri Madugula Shivasri, Sri Medikonda Srinivasa, Chowdary, Sri N Srinivasa Sharma, Sri Talluri Subba Rao, and others attended the sacred event.
