“Cow is like the mother of the cosmic Forces, the daughter of the cosmic Matter, the sister of cosmic Energy, the centre of the ambrosia. I address to men of wisdom --kill not her, the sinless inviolate cow.” Rig Veda
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that we have appointed four Pracharaks and Bala Samskar teachers in and around Cachar City in Assam.  Cachar is an administrative district in the state. The district headquarters, Silchar, is one of the most important business centers of Assam. In 2006, the Indian government named Cachar one of the country's 250 most backward districts out of a total of 640. GHHF activities are being conducted in three districts –Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi.
Sri Samrat Dutt from Cachar has been coordinating and organizing activities in ASSAM– Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar and other activities. He was responsible for identifying four Pracharaks – two males and two females. He also identified 7 teachers for Bala Samskar. He even found three villages where Bala Samskar Kendras are being sponsored by them. GHHF would like to express our appreciation to Samrat Ji for his passion and determination to coordinate and supervise these activities.
His concern for the aggressiveness of Christians and Love Jihad by Muslims helped GHHF to organize these activities. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and leadership qualities in organizing many of these activities.
War Against Cow Butchers: Nearly 200 cows were Rescued
As many of you are aware that Hindu Advocates Forum was formed under the umbrella of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and filed a number of cases for the last four months.
In fact, Hindu Advocates Forum moved Guwahati High court against the order of releasing cattle to butchers. Honorable Guwahati High court admitted our criminal revision petition and stayed the Lower Court order till disposal of the case. So far, we recovered 200 cows and we had a meeting and planning to recover 800 more and will make it as gaushala of 1000 cows.
Assam government and BSF has allotted 20 bighas of land for the new gaushala in Doyapur,South Assam. At present there are 200 cows in the Gaushala. BSF rescued cows and bulls come to us in the most pitiable state - limbs tied, horns broken, toxins and chillies inserted in eyes and rear, stuffed in trucks, without food and water for days together. Most of them were on the verge of dying, by the time they reach India-Bangladesh border and many were already dead. It is a constant struggle to promptly setup shelters, organize food & medical s to revive them. GHHF Assam team working both in the ground as well as within the Court for these recused cattle. Hindu Advocates Forum till now fought and won 950ercent cases of cattle smuggling. A few cases are lying in Guwahati High court. GHHF is looking for cattle feeds also and contacted many industrialists to adopt cows and make donations to run the Gaushala smoothly.
Sri Samrat Dutt our Chief Coordinator of GHHF activities in Assam spent the whole day with the released cows in Gaushala. He reported that, “I spent the whole day in the Gaushala, I felt a strange sense of heavenly contentment and satisfaction because this Gaushala has about 200 cows and Hindu Advocates Forum the Advocate wing of GHHF Assam alone managed to won the legal battle and save them from cow smugglers, slaughter houses.”
Hindu Advocates Forum objected to their request and filed a counter-petition mentioning the judgments of the Honorable Supreme Court and our mother High Court ie Guwahati High Court as to not to give custody of buffalos and cows to Muslims whose treatment towards cows was cruel also we argued that the above named Muslim petitioners will definitely send these cows and buffalos to Bangladesh for slaughter as these were seized by BSF near Indo Bangladesh border. At the same time, we quoted the particular sections of the Animal Cruelty Act also. Considering all our submissions and after hearing our arguments Honorable Chief Judicial Magistrate allowed our prayer.
Transportation of cows in the vans and trucks is a horrifying experience to the cows.   It is abominable, inhuman and grueling for the cows. They are being abused, injured and maltreated during the transportation. The mafia defy any kind of rules or guidelines to transport the cows.  They make cows stand in the trucks to accommodate as many as possible. They apply red and green chilies into the eyes to prevent them to rest and lie down. They are not either fed or allowed to drink in the journey that may take up to a week or so.
Implement the Article 48 in The Constitution of India 1949:
“The State shall endeavour to organise agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter, of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle.  Make sure that the States implement this Directive Principle to spare the lives of cows. Stop the slaughter of the COWS.”
Why Save Cows from Butchers?
Since Vedic times, cow is considered sacred, treated as mother and hailed as harbinger of auspiciousness.  She is a symbol of wealth, health, prosperity, blessing, peace of mind, purity, purification, and success in life. She is identified as a kamadhenu – wish fulfilling.  She is revered, honored, respected as mother – an unselfish giver of bounty without expecting from her children just like a mother. All the scriptures such as Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Mahabharata, Manusmriti, and others extoll the virtues of the cow. All the Gods reside in her and killing her is considered the most heinous crime. It is often said “jivantu avadghnyah ta me vishasya dushanih” meaning that let cows live without slaughter for their whole life-they remove poison and toxins. Many sages, many Hindu Temples and numerous Ashrams maintained Goshalas (cow shelters) for centuries recognizing the numerous benefits that accrue from the cows.
As the scriptures proclaim “Tvam mata sarva devanam” meaning that you are the mother of all gods. It also means that if we protect the cow, we are honoring all the gods that reside in her.  Scriptures have elaborately described the location of gods in the cow.  We will examine our scriptures such as Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Mahabharata and other scriptures to equip ourselves with enough knowledge to find out the significance, importance and virtues of cows so that we will not only reap the benefits of protecting them but also pass on the richness to our children and grandchildren.
Having possessed all Gods in every part of her body, Cow blesses the people and country. Just looking at her enables one to have the fruits of offering salutations to all Gods, visiting all the pilgrimages and acquire health and wealth. Happiness and peace thrive in a house where there is a cow. By circumambulating (pradakshana) around the cow, one gets the punya (merit) of doing pradakshana to all gods. Padma Purana states. “The person who touches the cow after having bath daily, frees himself from all kinds of sins. The dust that arises from the cow’s hooves is so pure that the person who applies it on his head, is considered to have bathed in the sacred waters of different pilgrim places, and freed from all sins.”
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed twenty people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
1) Donate any amount to help the Dharma Pracharaks to work at the ground level.
2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks.
