On January 23, Bala Samskar Kendra students in Assam celebrated 125th birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The country also commemorates Netaji’s birthday as Parakram Diwas in honour of his legendary perseverance and immense contribution to the Indian independence fight. He founded the Azad Hind Fauj military regiment in order to resist the British. Bose also founded the female battalion known as the Rani Jhansi regiment. Bose was the first to proclaim that Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation. 
Sri Samrat Dutt, who is the coordinator of GHHF activities in Assam says:
“Bala Samskar Kendras of Assam celebrated the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Students dressed like Subhash Bose, recited the poem on Subhash Bose, organized Memory Test, delivered Speech on Subhash Bose, conducted various out door game competition organized by the Bala Samskar Kendras and after that prizes we're also distributed amongst the participants.”
Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi said "Today, it is a proud moment for me as I address the people of Andamans because this is the land, where Subhas Chandra Bose unfurled the national flag for the first time in 1943."  He exhorting youths to "read more and more", Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged them to read biographies and autobiographies to get inspiration. "Read more and more, but if you get a chance read biographies and autobiographies. These books will inspire you and you can implement them in your life," he said.

In 1921, Bose joined the patriot development drove by Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian Public Congress. Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the greatest leaders of India. He is famous by the name of Netaji. He gave up his life for his motherland. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack. His father was a famous lawyer. Netaji was a brilliant student who had scored the second position in the matriculation exam. He completed his B.A Hons. in Philosophy in 1918 from the University of Calcutta. He later went to England in September 1919, for further studies.
Netaji was selected for the Indian Civil Service but he did not want to stay in England and serve the British government. So, he quit his job and started fighting for the freedom of India. The Azad Hind Fauj was formed by Subhash Chandra bose. He coined the term ‘Jai indi’. His charisma and powerful personality inspired many people into the freedom struggle andcontinues to inspire Indians.
It is believed that he died in a plane crash on 18th August 1945, Though Netaji is no more in this world, yet his name will ever shine. He will always be counted as one of the greatest martyrs of the Country.
