[GHHF] A Call to Action by Dr. Prakasarao Velagapudi for Pilgrim Safety in Tirupati

The recent incident near the Tirupati East railway station, where a Muslim auto driver allegedly attacked Hindu pilgrims, has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of devotees visiting the sacred town. In response, Dr. Prakasarao Velagapudi, President of the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), has written a strong letter to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman, Sri B R Naidu, urging immediate and decisive action. Tirumala is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world. Millions of devotees visit every year, seeking a spiritual and religious experience. It is the sacred duty, or dharma, of the TTD to ensure that these pilgrims are safe, comfortable, and free from any form of abuse or harassment. The August 8, 2025, incident highlights a dangerous lapse in this responsibility. In his letter, Dr. Velagapudi has outlined several crucial steps that the TTD, in collaboration with the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) and the Police Department, must take immediately. Key Measures Outlined by GHHF: Regulated Auto Rickshaw Services: A structured system is needed where all auto rickshaws are registered and assigned to designated parking areas. Pilgrims should be able to request an auto through a police-managed system, ensuring fair service and accountability. Standardized Fares: To prevent overcharging and exploitation, a standard rate card for auto fares to different parts of Tirupati and Tirumala should be implemented and strictly enforced. Enhanced TTD Bus Services: The TTD's "Dharma Radhams" (buses) must run on a frequent schedule, ideally every 30 minutes, to provide a reliable and safe transportation option for pilgrims. This service is crucial for pilgrims traveling from the railway station to Tirumala. Clear Bus Stands: The designated TTD bus parking area at the East Railway Station must be cleared of all other vehicles to allow smooth bus operations. Strict Enforcement and Punishment: Any auto driver who violates the established rules, or is found to be abusing, attacking, or insulting pilgrims, must face severe consequences, including the confiscation of their vehicle and immediate arrest. Any delay in addressing these issues could embolden disruptive elements and further endanger the lives and dignity of innocent pilgrims. Dr. Velagapudi has requested that the TTD not only respond to these concerns but also announce the concrete steps it is taking to protect its devotees. The safety of every pilgrim should be the top priority, ensuring their journey to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara is a truly divine and peaceful experience.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWVx5Q8-TUg Namaskar! As part of our efforts to protect Hindu Dharma and revive temples, we are breathing new life into small temples. Distributing mic sets is one such step forward. Some time ago, when we made a request for donations, Smt. Sangeetha and Arun Chandrakant provided the necessary funds for two mic sets as a divine offering. With their generous support, we handed over the first mic set to Sri Sunkulamma Temple in Lakshmi Palle village, Dornal Mandal, Nandyal district. With this mic set, the pujas, bhajans, and other spiritual programs held in the temple will now be heard clearly by more devotees. The divine chants and discourses will resonate throughout the area. Our heartfelt gratitude to Sangeetha and Arun Chandrakant for contributing to this sacred cause. The Necessity of Mic Sets - A Boon for Temples: These mic sets are not just devices; they are tools that bring spiritual programs to life. Share Devotion: By ensuring clear sound for temple pujas, Harikathas, discourses, and bhajans, devotees can immerse themselves more deeply and experience a greater spiritual feeling. Spread Knowledge: Scholars' speeches and religious discussions can reach even distant areas, spreading knowledge of Dharma. Protect Culture: These small temples in rural areas are bridges to our ancient culture. The programs held there, amplified by mic sets, constantly enlighten the people. Community Unity: During festivals and celebrations, the sounds from the mic sets bring people together, fostering social unity. This Great Yagna Must Continue with Your Support! Currently, over 20 small temple managements are approaching us for mic sets. Your help is essential to fulfill their requests. If you come forward and donate a mic set, it will be handed over to the temple in your name. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of a divine work and a way to immortalize your charity. This great program moves forward only with your invaluable support. Please come forward, make a donation, and contribute to this sacred cause. This Prana Pratishta is believed to harmonize and unite the divine energy with the installed deities made of different stones. The stone Vigrahas are transferred into centers of energy and power.  Kumbhabhishekam is performed to benefit those who attend the function, visit the temple on a regular basis, and participate in the worship services. It is also believed that even those who are unable to visit the temple but by just beholding the Gopura reap spiritual energy of the presiding deities. [GHHF] Shiva Aradhana in Lakshmi Palle: A Devotional Experience under the aegis of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation

The Shiva Aradhana puja program, organized under the aegis of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation at Sri Hanuman Temple in the BC Colony of Lakshmi Palle village, Dornal Mandal, Nandyal district, has been successfully concluded. This program was not just a puja, but a testament to our goal of fostering unity in the Hindu community and protecting our Sanatana Dharma. Held from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the program saw a large number of villagers and Hindu devotees participate, filling the temple premises with a spiritual glow through the chanting of Shiva's name. Despite the rain, devotees did not hold back and took part in the puja. As part of the program, under the supervision of the temple priest, Sri Kalle Gangadharaiah, everyone performed 'pradakshinas' and recited their 'gotra namas.' Each person was asked to perform 'Panchamruta' and 'Ksheerabhishekams' to the Shivalinga, and 'Ashtottara Shatanamavali' puja was conducted. A special 'Shivabhishekam' was arranged for newlywed couples. Our organization's activists, Tirupal and Chiranjeevi , made special efforts to make this program a success. It is due to their hard work that we have already established a Bala Samskara Kendra in Lakshmi Palle. We have also built a Bhajan Samaj and formed a village committee to ensure continuous Hindu Dharma programs. In this village, we have written the name of Bhagawan on every house and went door-to-door to spread Dharma. A Satsang is also regularly held here under the auspices of our organization. Our heartfelt thanks to the villagers and devotees of Lakshmi Palle who cooperated for this program. We hope for your continued support in our efforts to protect Hindu Dharma. Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, the Founder and Pontiff of Avadhuta Datta Peetham of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama in Mysuru, India, arrived in Frisco on August 4 to initiate the celebration of Maha Kumbabhishekam to Lord Venkateswara in Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, Frisco, Texas. With the divine grace and blessings of Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple is overjoyed to invite you and your family to the Maha Kumbhabhisheka Celebrations of the newly constructed Sri Venkateswara Temple at KSHT. This once-in-a-lifetime sacred event will be filled with deeply spiritual Vedic rituals, grand homas, abhishekas, and divine music, culminating in the Prāṇa Pratiṣṭhā(installation of divine energy) of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. The ceremonies will be blessed by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji Himself, making this an extraordinary spiritual occasion. The celebrations started on August 4 with the sankalpa of Maha Yagna, and with the divine blessings and permission from Sri Datta Prabhu, the celebrations began. Then, five days of Homas are conducted until the day of Prana Pratishta of Lord Venkateswara. On August 6th, Sri Datta Prabhu performed ksheeradivasa (pouring Panchamruta) on the Vigraha of Lord Venkateswara and Maha Lakshmi and the vehicle. The next few days, the Homas will continue daily until 9th August. Sri Datta Prabhu will perform Sri Chakra Puja daily and give messages to the assembled devotees.  Last two days, Sri Datta Prabhu gave scintillating bhajans and rendered a powerful story of the birth of Maharishi Vyasa and how he was born and his unparalleled contribution to the Sanatana Dharma by way of codifying Vedas, composition of Maha Bharata, and several Puranas. He composed the Brahma Sutras for intellectuals and the Mahabharata for all people. Despite his contribution to writing several Puranas, his heart was not happy. He was not at peace. He invoked his Guru, Narada Muni who smiled and said ““You have written many scriptures, O sage, but you have not yet glorified the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Hari, with exclusive focus and devotion. Without directly describing the Lord’s names, forms, qualities, and pastimes, your work cannot fully satisfy the soul.” Narada said that you have written so many puranas, wrote about the creation of the universe, the powerful kings who ruled the empires, many legends, the lives of great saints, the history of solar and lunar dynasties, but you have not talked about the importance of Bhakti Then Vyas decided to compose a scripture that glorifies Lord Krishna as the supreme and pure bhakti as the highest goal. On the morning of August 6th, a new USB flash drive on “Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam” contains 12 songs on Lord Venkateswara. They were composed and rendered by His Holiness with Jaitra Varanasi composing the music.   Sri Datta Prabhu said that all the devotees should read or listen to His discourses given during the COVID-19 time {{album_1431}}

[GHHF] Bala Gangadhar Tilak lit the fire of patriotism by inspiring people with a motto “Freedom is my birthright.”

Once upon a time, our country was in the strangling chains of British rule.  The hope of independence has not yet blossomed in the minds of the people. Exactly at such a time, O small fire, the unbroken light of patriotism was lit in the hearts of people. He was born on 23 July 1856 in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. His father, Gangadhar Ramachandra Tilak, was a great Sanskrit scholar and renowned teacher. His mother's name is Parvatibai Gangadhar Tilak. Tilak, born in such a family, had very independent thoughts and courage since childhood. The resident. Where can injustice be seen? When he heard the stories of heroes like Nana Saheb, Tantya Tope, and Jhansi Rani, his heart filled with patriotism.  "How great are these heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland! I, too, have grown up for the motherland. I will serve you; I will free you from the shackles of slavery,” said Bal Tilak, who was firm in his childhood. Took a pledge. This wish remained as a promise in his innermost being. Tilak joined Deccan College. At that time, his health was feeble, and his body was also weak. 'How to serve the country with a weak body?' This is what he thought. To improve your health immediately, strengthening your body, has been decided. Exercised daily and ate good, nutritious food. His efforts bore fruit. Having strengthened his body, he achieved first place in all the games held in the college. Tilak completed his double graduation with great success during the British rule. It was easy to get a good job. But since his childhood, he decided to dedicate his life to the country, he didn't join the job. The feeling of freedom has not yet fully blossomed among the people. During the British rule, people forgot their rights and considered everything as a divine will. Standing with confidence. The desire for freedom should be aroused among them, and the feeling of patriotism should be instilled in their hearts. Resolved. To build a new, strong society based on Indian culture, every Indian should believe in teaching the greatness of culture and national ideals. Tilak Strong is the right path for educational institutions to train people to become the best citizens. That is why many educational institutions were established. In 1905, the British government wanted to divide Bengal. A significant movement started across the country against this. Lala-Bal- Pal (Lala Lajpatrai, Bala Gangadhar Tailak, Bipin Chandra Pal) traveled all different parts of India with a message of {Vand Mataram.” This slogan inspired people. The British government acted very harshly to suppress the passion and patriotism of the people. At this time, Tilak wrote an article titled "Deshdaurbhagyam" in his magazine "Kesari". Severely criticized the government. The government accused Tilak of being a "traitor" with the article titled "Deshdaurbhagyam". Along with others, he was sentenced to exile from the country and imprisoned in Mandalay jail in Burma. After spending a year in Mandalay prison, Tilak agreed to certain conditions and released him. British officials suggested. But Tilak did not retreat for a moment. "Now I'm 53 years old. If I don't want to wait, I'll be released from jail in just a few more years." Will be. That day I will be able to serve the people. But if I fall into this condition, I will be considered dead, he replied boldly. These words proved how strong his desire for independence was. "Freedom is my birthright. These Tilak remarks are forever imprinted on the heart of every Indian. To fulfill the wishes of Indians, he has to continue his concern regardless of the circumstances.  While in jail, he wrote great books like "Gita Rahasya", sharing his wealth of spiritual knowledge. Licked. He celebrated Shivaji Jayanti and many other festivals to unite the people and increase patriotism. Started programs like. Through these festivals, people came together and got an opportunity to discuss patriotism. Tilak's health deteriorated severely due to prison life and continuous struggle. My body is tired. Nevertheless, he continues to tour the country to create awareness among the people. He hoped alone: We should awaken the Indian race, our last breath, our previous effort as a national Consciousness. On August 1, 1920, a massive fire broke out in Mumbai, killing more than two lakh people. He expressed his patriotism by participating in the last march. Bal Gangadhar Tilak is not just a freedom fighter; he is a great leader of the Indian race, a thinker, and a social reformer. Key messages: Our life gives us courage, patriotism, selfless service, and perseverance, which teaches great importance. When our goals are great, no matter what physical weaknesses or obstacles come our way, we can overcome them. To work with dedication for the country, for our culture, his motto “Freedom is my birth right” inspires us. Your donations are appreciated. [GHHF &DJF] Twelve weeks of Sanatana Dharma Summer Classes for Youth and parents concluded on August 3 with distribution of Certificate of Attendance and lunch.

“In religion, India is the only millionaire……the One land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for all the shows of all the rest of the globe combined.”  Mark Twain (American writer) Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and Dharma Jagruti Foundation proudly launched the Sanatana Summer Camp on May 25 and concluded on August 3, 2025. The purpose of these classes is to bring youth and adults together to explore the depth and richness of Sanatana Dharma.  We discussed the following topics over the last twelve sessions.     •    What is Hinduism?  •    Unique characteristics of Hinduism •    Hindu Temple Customs and Traditions such Tilak on forehead, Prasadam, Teertham, pradakshina, super brain yoga, chanting of Mantas, etc. •    Temple is likened to Human being – various parts of the body and chakras •    Why so many Gods, One God vs Multiple Gods •    Monotheism, Polytheism, Henotheism •    Miracles of Hindu Temples – Amazing structures and practices •    Hindu Temple architecture •    Difference between “one God, one Bood and One Way” and Multiple Gods, Multiple books and different ways.” Dangers and advantages. •    Discussion on “All Religions are not Same.” •    Raising Hindu Children in USA  The sessions were attended by both youth and parents. In his opening remarks, Dr. Prakasarao Velagapudi emphasized the importance of passing on our heritage: Why did we conduct these classes?  These classes are essential because there is no established system for transmitting knowledge to the next generation within our Sanatana Dharma.  We will learn about the richness of our culture and the timeless history of our culture. We will learn about our great Maharishis who composed all the Vedas, Upanishads, Vedas, Vedangas, Tantras, Samhitas, and they survive even today. We withstood time, aggressions, occupations, distortions for centuries with divine power.  Bharat is a Dharma Bhumi, Karma Bhumi, Daiva Bhumi, Yoga Bhumi, Matru Bhumi, Punya Bumi, Moksha Bhumi that withstood external forces. This is the land where the greatest minds, leaders, saints, kings, and the dharmic upholders walked on this land. Their sons and daughters are walking across the globe currently like you and me. Maha Rishis sanctified the Bharat. Pancha Pandavas exemplified the dharma. Maha Bharta was waged to protect Dharma. Lord Krishna’s words of wisdom penetrated our minds and bodies either consciously or unconsciously.  In the richest country of literature, we are like paupers. We have everything conceivable to see with a naked eye, but we are failing in acquiring the knowledge, absorbed, appreciating, sharing and transmitting to our knowledge. It is time for all our parents and grandparents to spend some time soaking in this abundance of knowledge.  We want to make our children appreciate the depth of this knowledge and become proud of their culture. To be proud we should know the value of our scriptures. Ony when we know the value of these scriptures you want to hold on to them. We want them to know that Hinduism is highly scientific, All the customs and traditions we follow can be scientifically explained. We do not believe in blind acceptance of anything. This is what attracted the scholars, scientists, famous writers, executive officers, US presidents, sports people, movie actors and others. Once we know how many Westerners appreciated our timeless knowledge, how many Nobel laureates acknowledge the depth of our knowledge in Hindu scriptures, how many westerners visited Ashrams and adopted the Hindu way of life, how many CEOs practicing yoga and meditation and how many major organizations are adopting the leadership qualities found in our scriptures and historical figures, it will inspire all of to learn more, digest more and practice it make the humanity live in peace. Last Day After completing the 12th class, we had given certificates of participation to our children. Then we ordered pizza for all those who attended the class. We had a long discussion about how rich our Sanatana Dharma. Everybody expressed their experience of attending the class. They want to continue one every two weeks or so. Once the students get settled in their classes in the Fall semester, few more classes may be started.   Your donations are appreciated.
